14 December 2009 SOGAZ and the Government of Tatarstan Conclude a Cooperation Agreement

On Friday, December 11, 2009 SOGAZ Insurance Group and the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan concluded a Cooperation agreement. The document was signed by Rustam Minnikhanov, Prime Minister of the Republic, and Vadim Yanov, Chairman of the SOGAZ Management Board.

The purpose of the agreement is to create favorable conditions for comprehensive social and economic development of Tatarstan, to increase its investment attractiveness, and to improve the healthcare system in the republic by implementing a number of insurance programs. Special attention will be paid to the insurance of the objects built for the 27th World Summer Student Games to be held in Kazan in 2013. Vadim Yanov, Chairman of the SOGAZ Management Board, expressed confidence that the Group and the Republic will be partnering in other fields, including provision of insurance coverage for implementation of federal target investment programs. Today, the Republic of Tatarstan is implementing 13 federal, 37 regional and a few dozens of municipal target programs with the total volume of financing exceeding RUR 316.7 billion. These include “Modernization of Russian Transportation System”, “Development of Russian Nanotech Industry Infrastructure”, such target programs of the Republic as “Modernization of Public Healthcare in Kazan”, “Children of Tatarstan”, “Development of Tourism in Kazan”, etc.
