SOGAZ Insurance Group has signed a general contract for transportation insurance of goods with OJSC OMK–Steel.

In compliance with terms and conditions of the contract, SOGAZ will insure the transportation of different goods (strips, railway wheels, steel pipes, etc.) including large diameter pipes used in the construction of the North Stream main gas pipeline.

Insurance will cover the transportation of goods all over the world. The limit of the insurer’s liability amounts to RUB 500 million.

OJSC OMK–Steel is part of CJSC United Metallurgy Company (CJSC OMK), one of the largest manufacturing companies in Russia that incorporates six large metallurgical enterprises located in Central Russia, the Volga Region and the Middle Urals.
